MututalAidPlan.org supplies the healthcare entity with facility-specific tools that provide regional or statewide situational awareness in an easy-to-use platform. Hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living, community health centers and other patient care facilities can work together, and with community partners, to protect their patients and staff.
RPA built our first mutual aid plan in 1983. In 2008, the first technology-enabled mutual aid group (MassMAP) launched on our MutualAidPlan.org platform with 166 facility locations. Since then, we have added healthcare facilities from multiple states, and more than 1,400 healthcare facilities have operational data in the system. In the 2011 and 2012 storms of the Northeast, the states utilizing Mutualaidplan.org were the only ones capable of giving rapid and concise information to CMS about the number of facilities on generators, open beds and other operational issues in one consolidated, automated format.
