Session Description: The focus on provider Emergency Preparedness Programs has never been greater. This session will address three (3) key program components. The Hazard Vulnerability Assessment (HVA) is the first important process in program development. This session will commence by understanding how to effectively conduct an HVA and apply the output. The on-going importance of comprehensive evacuation and surge plans continues to be highlighted whenever natural disasters strike. Through the use of case studies and lessons learned, this session will outline key planning processes and strategies applicable to both scenarios.
